So I asked my first graduate course professor Of Nursing Theory to write a recommendation letter for me. She was more than willing to write the letter after she reviewed my résumé. My next step is to actually start the application process, and ask my supervisor for a copy as well. I am hopeful that I will get great results but just need to be patient.
As far as Nursing Theory goes. I originally didn't like the class. I felt like it was going to be tedious to research various theorist in hopes of finding out the basis of how we practice. Ironically, the same reason I didn't like the class seem to be the same reason that I'm in love with it. When I participate in discussion I feel like my fellow classmates never have anything to add to what I stated. I've had multiple cliff hangers where I would get to engage in conversation and it goes no where. On e again I am hopeful for positive results. I will be completing my second major paper for he class focusing on sickle cell anemia and pain management in the perinatal setting.
Wish me luck!

Try and try again
This journey started for me on August of 2007. I had just graduated from nursing school, secured my first job, and was at the ultimate high.I wanted to become a nurse to transorm lives. I enjoyed the blood, the guts and new encounters.I then decided to pursue my Bachelors degree in hopes of moving on the totem pole of happiness. This was accomplished in 2011. Right after graduation, I thought to my self... "I don't want to go back to school just yet." So I took a break, only to find myself here in 2013 ready for the next step: A Masters in the Science of Nursing.Unfortunetly for me, when I embarked on this career, I knew I wanted to a BSN so I prepared my self with taking the courses but never focused on my GPA. Having to face hardship through each step of this journey its only appropriate for me to be dealing with this now.My first school I applied to... I didn't get in. I was heart broken but knew it wasn't the right time. I have worked and reworked several different plans of study to obtain my ultimate goal of being a Nurse Practitioner. My latest quest: proving that Im graduate school material by taking courses as a non degree seeking student. I have spoke to 4 or 5 different advisors of different programs in hopes on gaining insight on what will strengthen my application aside from outstanding GRE scores. Wish me luck....
